Annri's Journey Eastward ((Chapter 9 a.))

Suddenly finding himself discharged from the Foreign Legion with the Spear in tote he made his way back into the world. Riddled with thoughts and worries Annri grasped the strap to his duffle bag and tossed it over his shoulder. Slowly walking towards the rising sun he knew that his duty now was to keep The Spear of Destiny in safe keeping, even if that means from his own sister. At that moment his hand slid down to the area of which she wounded him on his thigh. He could remember that morning when he told the nurses that he could change his own dressings from here on out. They were happy to see that he was more cheerful so they let him be, if only they knew what he did. That somehow with no explaination he survived and his wound was completely gone. Annri understood from that moment what the messenger in his dream meant. The Spear definately holds great power, what kind of power is uncertain but none the less it was a power not worth gambling.

"If the messenger is right about the spear" he thought to himself "and I am supposed to keep this from Selene bc of what she wants with it then why didn't she take it when she had a chance?"

This question played out in his mind over and over, each time making less sense than the first. How could his sister be what she is? He couldn't believe that she was pure evil bc she came from their mother, that half of her alone is enough good to change the course of the future. Annri knew he had to protect the spear but he also knew he must find his sister and make things right.

Months passed as he made his way on foot towards the lands of the east. Making his way through Germany and Prague finally he reached a desolate desert of ice. He adjusted his furry hood and duffle bag as the chilling wind whipped across his face and chapped lips.

Destiny Revealed ((Chapter 9))

Annri grasped the spear with both hands, breathing in deeply then holding his breath to remove the spear from his leg. As blood spurt from his wound he let out a muffled wail of agony. He placed his hands over the wound applying moderate pressure. His eye's focused on the blood that seemed to drench his pant leg and cascade onto the marble floor. It was obvious when Selene pierced his thigh that she had cut or punctured an artery and it would only be a matter of time till he bled out and died. Quickly he ripped his shirt upon hearing the many footsteps echo closer towards the room he and his victim lay. Using his teeth he managed to make a tourniquet and slide himself up against the wall he had his back pressed upon to aid him to his feet. But he had already lost much blood that he fell over into the puddle of blood below him. Eye's parallel to the Spear of Destiny he reached out with one last effort and wrapped it in the left over tattered shirt of his. Placing it in his side cargo pocket his vision began to blur a bit as men began to surround him.

"Annri!...Can you hear me?" The voice sounded so echoed. "He's bleeding out. Get the Medic here NOW!!" The man began flashing a light in Annri's eye's which were barely abled to hold open by themselves. "Hold on my friend...You're going to be fine!"

"Beauchamp?...." Was the last thing he said before passing out while being lifted onto a military made stretcher. His unit finally arrived with what seemed like the nick of time to save their almost fallen comrade. As the military transport truck hauled off into the distance with Annri as its passenger the unit stayed behind to "clean" up the mess that he had made. This would not bode well but that would be a matter to discuss if Annri survives. Finally arriving at a small base camp they rushed Annri into a medical tent, furiously the doctors rushed around him...
Annri began drifting into a deeper sleep than he had ever been in before. He wasn't much of a sleeper those years after his mother's death and so he continued to drift towards a calling. A calling within himself. Flickers of light flashed all around him as he embarked upon this journey towards actualization. Where upon opening his eye's he saw that he was in Paradise.

"This must be a joke, i'm certain I didn't get into heaven!"

He continued to investigate his surroundings when out of the water surfaced a beautiful woman with eye's so blue that it seemed to touch his soul.

"You have got to be joking." He mumbled under his breath. Her eye's fixed upon him as she slightly smiled in return.

"No. Not a joke." She finally spoke.

"Then where am I?!" Annri demanded. The woman giggled as she splashed around in the water. She slowly swam towards the edge where Annri stood, placing her hands upon the stone and grass edge.

"You're deep within a dream world I created in your mind." he scoffed at the idea of hearing such a crazy thing.

"Yea right lady. You're telling me that you created all of this?" He turns around arms open as he continued to laugh. "Now I know this is a dream, I can wake up." She emerged from the water standing right before Annri, dripping wet.

"I know you have the Spear of Destiny."

"Of course you do!" he continues to laugh.

"Do you even know what it is capable of doing? Do you even realize what you possess?!" Annri lowers himself upon a shaded grassy area with his arms folded behind his head. He closes his eyes and begins to relax.

"Does it matter?"

The woman walks toward Annri and leaps atop of him dripping water all over him. He opens his eye's to see her hands on either side of his head and laughs.

"If you're going to kiss me, just kiss me." Just then she placed her hands on both sides of his temple sending a sharp charge through his brain. A sharp and excruciating pain through out his body. He howled in pain, shaking and convulsing. Back in the medical ward the nurses and doctors rush in to see what is causing the Dumont patient to convulse. The woman removes her hands and Annri lays still. The doctors check his pulse, he seems fine. Back in the dream world Annri sits up and grabs the woman and tosses her aside. She regains her balance and smiles.

"What'd you do to me?!" He yelled at her as he attempted to regain his composure.

"Was that just a dream you experienced as well Annri? If this were a dream you would have awoke before 'hitting the ground' so to speak."

"What do you want she-demon!" The woman begins to roar with laughter.

"Its been ages since i've heard that name." She stands up to face Annri eye to eye.

"Hide the spear."

"Why should I do anything for you after what you did to me?"

"You mortals always want proof, thus your folly but i understand your request. Selene's father spoke of a prophecy did he not?" Annri's eye's lit up in a flash.

"Yes. He said that she was destined to fulfill a prophecy, do you know what he meant?" The woman nods and moves behind Annri, tracing his back with her fingers.

"The prophecy for which he speaks is that of Cain. The details are murky but your sister is in great danger...In the future, in a place called Paragon she will be a mighty Hero."

"A hero? but that is good isn't it?"

"It is and it isn't. Those who were her allies will become her enemy once the prophecy is fulfilled."

"What is the g** damn prophecy?!" Annri blurted out in frustration

"Only with the child pure born into the light will the doorway open for the trinity of evil to reign over this earth once again. That means your sister will act as a doorway for the Three to enter however this won't happen for many...MANY years. That spear you have will only make the prophecy come true sooner so you must hide it and keep it from your sister!"

"I must find her though."

"Trust me Annri...You will...In time."

"If she becomes this Hero you speak of in the future that means she is already immortal?"

"Yes."

"But i'm not." The woman laughs which seemed to echo in his thoughts. She blurred to an oblivion before his eye's as he was blinded by the brightness of the flashing light around him. He opened his eye's and there standing before him was the doctor, a nurse and Beauchamp!

"Annri, my friend. You're awake at last!"

"Where am I?"

"You were badly wounded and you've been out for months now."

"Months?"

"A coma is what we call it." the doctor interjected. Annri rubs his head and face.

"I had the most unbelievable dream..." He lifted the blanket to look at his wound upon looking he saw that it was completely gone and dropped the blanket.

"Does your dressing need changing?" The nurse asked Annri.

"No...i'm fine, thank you."

Annri, Selene and The Spear ((Chapter 8))

It seemed like an eternity swept over them both as their eye's met one another. Everything seemed to slow down in an instant as he could feel Lord Cassieus shudder in pain beneath him as Annri continued to use his body weight to press down on the knife. Cassieus caught the direction of Annri's gaze towards the corridor and saw Selene standing there. So many thoughts ran through his mind that this of all things wasn't what he wanted for his daughter and that from this moment he knew he would not be able to protect her.

"Selene..." He gasped as he extended his hand out to his daughter. Annri shaking himself from the shock of seeing his sibling, his sister in the flesh began to regain his senses. Thus gripping the knife he quickly pulled it from Cassieus's heart and severed his throat almost decapitating him. Like a fish out of water he gasped for air only gargling his own blood.

"FATHER!!!" Selene cried out as she lept to his side. Annri again rose to his feet looking down over Selene. He thought to himself how she takes after mother, how remarkable that she resembles her so much. Selene knelt by her father, coddling him in her arms as he lay there dying. She didn't think it possible for someone so pure of blood from the Vampire lineage could die thusly. But there he was, drowning in his own blood. Unable to utter a word of reassurance. He spoke to her the only way he knew how at this point, his last attempt to rectify the wrongs he'd done to her and her mother. Cassieus knew this was it but he knew this wasn't the life Selene deserved.

*Darling daughter* Selene's eye's brightened as she looked into her father's eye's. He was speaking to her mind like the secret game they used to play when she was a child. They always had a strange connection as if they lived inside each others heart and mind.

*Father...I don't know what to do without you.* He raised his hand to her cheek smearing some of his blood onto her face. She raised her hand to his holding it tenderly as she raised it to her lips. She kissed his hand as she began to sob quietly. For some reason though she wanted to break down she thought it best to make him proud by being strong. Lord Cassieus reached into his robe which Selene assumed he was checking his wounds.

*I do wish...I had more time...To undo all the wrong i've done you. You...Of all...My children...Have...Made me...so....proud* She could feel his grip loosen and his arm get heavier.

*Father?...Father?!!!* But there was no answer as she now laid on top of his chest crying uncontrollably. "Father!!!! Please don't leave me." she continued to cry. Annri not shaken picked up his knife and wiped the dead Lord's blood onto his pants as he began to walk away. Selene opened her eye's as she lay there on her fathers chest which no longer moved up and down. "I don't know what to do without you." She whispered as a single tear slid down her nose and onto his robe. Her eye's caught a sparkle coming from her Father's clenched hand, the one that reached into his robe. Curious she unfolded his digits and inside was a gold locket which she held, dangling from her fingers. Carefully she opened the locket and inside was a tiny portrait of her mother. She recognized her from the paintings Father had in the house. Selene smiled as she remembered the stories he told of her "How i wish you could've met your mother" he'd say. But her attention was drawn to someone else who was in the photo with her, a little boy to be exact. She looked harder at the picture, her gaze focusing on the eye's and instantly she knew.

She turned quickly, blood covering her as she held onto the locket, attempting to make sense of everything that just happened. What sense could there be made from all this she wondered.

"You knew my mother?" She hesitantly asked him. Annri stopped in his tracks, his back still to her. He swallowed hard, the kind where you feel it stuck in your throat and your chest begins to tighten. His eye's began to well up with tears, the first time he ever...well he held them back but it was pretty much the closest he'd ever come to crying.

"She was my mother too." He faltered as he turned to meet her gaze. Selene rose to her feet her eye's lowering to the ground unable to process what she was hearing.

"This isn't possible...It can't be...He is my father!" Annri angrily moved towards Selene clutching her in his grasp.

"Did he tell you how she died? Did he tell you how he tore you from our mothers womb?!"

"Stop it!" She screamed as she began to sob again. He held his grip tighter as he began to try to keep her from running. Finally she would hear the truth even though it would hurt them both..She wasn't the only one who needed to hear it aloud.

"I was only five Selene. I was only five years old when he took you from mother. He ripped her open..."

"STOP IT!!!!" She screamed as Selene tore herself from Annri's grip thus ripping her dress as her strap fell down exposing her shoulder and a scar.

"I'm sorry." He said as he attempted to fix her strap he saw the scar and enveloped her in his arms. "That's how he did it...He cut you from mother's stomach."

"Stop."

"He took a knife..."

"Stop it."

"Much like the one I have..."

"Please stop."

"And cut you out of her, like I cut his throat."

Selene's eye's began to turn the coldest blue he had ever seen. Quickly she clutched his throat and flun him backward into the wall. As he hit the ground she hurtled toward the spear that lay next to her dead father and lunged toward Annri who now was picking himself up from the floor though he was writhing in pain. Selene vaulted heading for Annri and as she landed in front of him thrusted the spear into his thigh. Immediately he howled in anguish coddling the entry point to which the spear pierced his thigh. Unfortunately it had made its way damaging a main artery. She looked as if only a savage animal dwelled in her eye's as she stared down Annri who was in so much pain and losing blood quickly that he was quite faint. Not faint enough however to not hear her words clearly.

"He was my father and though you are proven to be my brother...You like my mother are dead to me!"

She released her grip on the spear and rose to her feet as she began walking away in the distance you could hear soldiers moving quickly onto the premises. They were surrounding the castle but her father taught her well to elude capture and survive under harsh circumstances. As she continued to saunter into the hall Annri called out to her.

"Dumont!" Selene stopped and turned.

"What?"

"Dumont. Annri Dumont." Selene nodded as she replied.

"Draco...Selene Draco." And vanished into the darkness.

Annri's Story Pt 3((Chapter 7))

His heart began to pound in his throat as he made his way through the forest and up the path towards the moment he had been looking forward to all his life. Closure, answers at last...No more wondering what had been only what could be. It was the dead of night which would give him cover as well as allow himself to have an element of surprise. Sweat began to bead off his brow, lifting his arm up he wiped it off with his somewhat tattered sleeve. The snow seemed to halt as if the sky understood this pinnacle moment. Annri looked back for only a moment at the path he had treked from morning to now nightfall and understood there was no going back. Adjusting his gaze upon the castle entrance he slowly made his way through the shadows somehow mentally preparing himself for what was to come.

What was to come? The man would have to be almost ancient now but there was something about him that told Annri that he was not of this world. Silently he tip toed through the corridor, past oil paintings whose eye's seem to follow Annri where he went. Almost abruptly the silence was broken by a very deep voice, a familiar voice that made the pounding in Annri's chest grow louder.

"I knew you would come for me." Anxious he braced himself against the wall, sweating furiously but somehow controlling his breathing. His eye's hurridly searched the upper columns, staircases, corridors but no one was there. "To think it took you this long lil Dumont boy." Furious he lept from the wall, the element of surprise was gone. No use in hiding like a coward he thought to himself.

"Lil Dumont no longer you coward!" Upon uttering those words the darkness seemed to seperate, lifting like a blanket and revealing the man he had been hunting all these years.

"I'd watch your tongue boy..." But before he could finish his sentence Annri rushed at the man hands clutching his jacket hurling him into the wall. Dust and some paintings flew from where they landed. The man began to roar with laughter. "Is that what you came here to do?" He continued to laugh, mocking Annri's futile attempts to cause him harm. So enraged he moved his grasp from the man's jacket to his throat.

"You killed her, you savagely ripped her apart like an animal, like she was your meal!!!" The man's amused facial expressions began to turn to anger as he lifted his arms in between Annri's graps knocking them to his side as Lord Cassieus shoved his fist into Annri's abdomin he flew 20 feet back, sliding till he hit a mirror shattering the glass and cutting himself as he landed on top of it all.

"What you don't seem to be able to grasp boy is that there are some things that are beyond your ability to understand."

"I take it you're in the sharing mood?" Annri sarcastically spouted as he wretched and writhed on the floor attempting to get to his feet. Attempting to quickly pluck glass shards that had embedded themselves in his arm, legs and back.

"Lenoire...."

"Don't you dare say her name!!!" Annri slowly rose to his feet as blood trickled down his brow. " You're not worthy to utter her name." Cassieus's gaze lowered to the floor as his mind wandered, painting a picture of her face as he remembered it. He could hear her infectious laugh swimming through his head and how her smile was like the sun to him, so warm and inviting. Cassieus seemed to float towards a nearby chair and with a sweep of his arms it pulled itself from under a table facing him as he lowered himself to sit. Annri stumbled a bit with his right arm tucked up underneath him where one glass shard in particular cut him pretty deep.

"If only you didn't cloud your judgement with anger you would understand so much more." Lord Cassieus sighed.

"Is that your sobering thought that has kept you from feeling the guilt one should for the action you took against me and my mother?!" Cassieus fist slammed on the table making Annri jump just enough inside but still not showing it to his advisary.

"And you're foolish enough to believe that the baby she carried within her was your fathers?!" Annri's eye's grew wide, shocked at the audacity of such a statement he rushed at the man again but Cassieus was not about to allow him to lay his hands upon his shroud again. Another sweep of his arms and Annri was up in the air, hanging like a puppet on a string.

"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!!!" Annri Shouted.

"You would like me to take back the truth wouldn't you son of Lt. Guerrette Dumont...Regardless the truth is what it is." He began to circle Annri with his hands cupped behind his back. "She fell in love with your father but I wanted her so when he was shipped off for the War effort I volunteered to have you and her join me here in safe keeping. She refused, saying she would rather stay and wait for your father's return. I had heard news that the war was pressing through into France in the coming months. I urged her if not begged her to reconsider. And as the woman I loved stood there still refusing me I loved her ever more so. I cannot undo what has been done. It was in the early morning that she slipped away with you and made her way onto London. Lenoire was smart to hide her tracks, speak to no one, blend with other travellers. It took me some time to track you both down but by the time I did it was too late. The bombing had begun on London and it would almost be impossible to get you both out safely."

"Lies." Cassieus only inches from Annri's face stared intently into his eye's.

"You'd best listen more and speak less Lil Dumont." He again began to pace slowly around Annri. "Finally in an alleyway i felt a cry deep deep within call out to me and that was when I found you both laying among rubble and debry. I was so happy to see her again and yet in her eye's I knew she was not happy to see me. That is when I eased you into sleep hoping you would not hear the conversation that would take place that you so many years later are hearing now. Your mother was going to kill that child and I couldn't let her."

"My mother would never do that!"

"Oh wouldn't she? She knew that the baby would be the key to unleashing darkness upon this world the likes to which no one has seen...And your mother wished to destroy it for you." Cassieus walked toward a table that that had an intricate box sat atop it. Slowly he opened the box and pulled out a spear head. "Centuries of searching is over, with this, The Spear of Destiny and my child The Prophecy will soon be fulfilled." Lord Cassieus coyly smiles as he approaches Annri while flaunting the spear in his face. "And there is nothing you lil Dumont boy can do to stop it."

"You're forgetting one thing Old Man." Cassieus begins to roar with laughter.

"What would that be?"

"I'm not Little anymore." Annri reaches into his pocket and pulls out the picture of his mother and tosses it at Cassieus's face which takes the Lord by surprise. In a moment he is faced with the horrific mistake he made towards the woman that he loved so dearly. Broken free from Cassieus's hold over him he reached into his boot and unsheathed his knife, leaping at Lord Cassieus and driving it deep into his heart. Falling backward and onto the ground they both lay as Annri with both hands held the knife in and as Lord Cassieus began gasping in pain. Out of the corner of his eye Annri caught a figure standing in the doorway. Quickly he turned pulling another knife out ready to throw till eye's meet eye's.

Annri's Story Pt 2 ((Chapter 6))

Since that cold cold day in 1915 it was only a year later as he sat in The School for the Wayward boys that he received a telegram that his father died in battle. Included was a medal his father received postumastly for saving his unit by sacrificing himself. Annri placed the medal in his pocket as Sister Josephine stood watching over him.
"Annri why don't you go out and play?" She said sweetly.

"oui." He crumpled the telegram and tossed it onto the floor and made his way out the door. Sister picked up the crumpled paper and just before she went to toss it in the rubbish bin she began to unravel it.

We regret to inform you.STOP.that your father.STOP.Lieutenant Guerrette Dumont.STOP.Died in battle.STOP.Saving the lives of his unit.STOP.Doing so.STOP.He has been postumastly awarded.STOP.The Star.STOP.We hope you find sollace in knowing.STOP.Your father served bravely.STOP.For his country and family.STOP.Viva la France.STOP

"Oh dear." She gasped as she made her way to the window looking down on Annri who at that very moment was kicking pebbles in the courtyard.

The Year 1928

Now 18 years of age with only his father's medal and a picture of his late mother in his pocket Annri set out and joined The French Foreign Legion. He became a Legionaire and was still serving the year 1935. He was now 25 years old as Hitler and his regime broke the Versailles Treaty though Annri had other plans then fighting Hitler and the Nazi's. Rumors spread, telling tales of a mysterious Lord who dwelled in Romania and feasted upon the blood of the living. Though his unit laughed and joked on the idiocy of the locals who would spread such incredulous tales, Annri knew it to be true. He could picture that man's face...Smiling at him. He slammed his beer on the table startling all the rowdy Legionaires, silence fell upon the very busy pub.Annri leaves his stool and makes his way for the pub door leaving behind his unit, his comrades in arms for a mission he knew he would most likely not survive. Snowfront moved in quickly covering Annri's tracks as he made his way through the woods again with only the clothes on his back and the precious cargo in his pocket. He layed his hand clutching at his chest pocket pulling out a picture of his mother.

"I promise Mama...I will not allow you to have died in vain."

The Year 1935
It had been so long that Annri was tracking through the woods until finally he stumbles across a bridge taking him toward a nearby village.
He laggard his way into town which gave off an eerie feeling of calm. The kind of calm you feel before the storm, he knew he was close. It would only be a matter of time before he would catch up to the thing, that mysterious man who robbed him of his mother and sibling. His mind ran with ponderings of whether he had a baby brother or sister and would he ever know. Before long he was standing in front of a pub, needing a minute of shelter from the cold he decided to venture in. Upon entering he had grabbed the attention of every patron of the establishment. Without lowering his gaze or even blinking he stared intently at the barman while shaking his coat of all the wet snow that was beginning to melt.
Effortlessly he makes his way to the bar and anchors himself to a stool near the dark corner. Why draw more attention than he wanted to? Without hesitation the Barman quickly poured him a pint of some dark brew and placed it on a coaster in front of Annri. Annri placed two coins on the bar and slid it towards the barman as the bustle began to pick up in the bar once again. Everyone was quite chatty that evening, over the snow, the goings on in the village and of course with a local folklore which Annri found himself to be very interested in hearing.

"Another one they found this week dead in their beds." He heard the old man say to another.

"Aye...That I did. Even the animals in the stables weren't spared their lives either. What a shame." The other man replied.

"Did you hear about the Lord taking in a child?!" Annri could feel his heart almost leap out of his chest. His sibling was alive and yet he could feel anything but joy that the monster was raising it to be like him.

"Aye that I have," said the old man. "He's been through so much to have lost his wife in such a horrific way and yet able to have his child is a miracle." He began to feel so much rage build up in him but he had to keep quiet if only a little longer. "At least he won't be so alone up the mountain since he rarely comes to the village." Bingo! Annri leaps from his stool, surprising all the other patrons even the one's he had been listening to and runs out the pub throwing the door open and rushing off into the night. With each step his foot sloshed into the snowy path leading up toward the mountains his heart began to race with his head. The child must believe the man to be its father already so what will happen if he kills him? No...Not now! Not a concious for someone who killed his mother so viciously so. Annri trips over his own feet landing in the snow face first...

"Mama, I don't know what to do." For the first time ever he felt helpless and truly alone. With a fist clenched full of snow his gaze seemed pulled upward and there is was in the distance..

The question seemed to answer itself as he pulled himself up to his feet and made his way into the dark forest up the path into the mountains. With each lightning fast step forward he became more assured than ever that he was going to kill the man who took his family from him. He was going to make him feel the excruciating pain he felt all these years, what it truly means to lose everything and have nothing!

Annri's Story ((Chapter 5))

It was the year 1915 a cold winters wind picked up the dust and debri sweeping it through alley ways and upstreets where towering buildings once stood before the bombing. Lenoire with little Annri in tote tightly clenching his hand in hers ran dodging falling rubble as thunderous bombs went off sending loud explosions throughout Lester square and all throughout London. Finally in an alley way she finds a moment to rest laying up against a brick wall as sweat rolled down her face Lenoire placed her hand on her pregnant belly and shut her eye's.

"Mama, what is wrong?" Worried little Annri asked.

"Nothing my brave little boy." Moving her hand from her belly she placed around his face, delicately brushing his cheek, comforting him. "Mama is just a little tired is all...Worry not, I have you." She smiled a smile that took all his insecurities and fears away however briefly. For out of the shadows in the alley way moved a great figure which had caught Annri's attention. Lenoire looking into his eye's noticed him looking over her shoulder. She turned ever so slowly to see what it was Annri was so fascinated with. He made his way over fallen rubble, trash and nick knacks finally standing into the light above them both. Under her breath she exasperated..."Cassieus."
He removed his hat with a smile and knelt before both her and the boy. Little Annri wasn't afraid as he stared intently at this man who seemed to be too intimately close to his mother. Cassieus raised his hand inches from Annri's face as the little boy's eye's grew heavy and finally there lil Annri lay sound asleep, swimming in fretful dreams. He could faintly hear the man mama called Cassieus...

"My darling Lenoire" He said as Annri fell deeper in sleep.

The sky grew darker than before, the stars barely visible as smoke clouds blanketed the sky. There was a new sound in the air, military vehicles moved one by one searching for survivors. Slowly Annri came to rubbing his eye's with his hands and sleeves, he still felt so sleepy. Upon opening his eye's there he saw his mother lay ripped open from her belly and his baby sister gone. Little Annri didn't cry, he didn't make a sound. He crawled towards his mother on hands and knee's making his way through the puddle of blood which he was now covered in from knee to chest. Tenderly he placed his small hand on her shoulder to ruse her out of perhaps the same sleep he was placed under by that mysteriously shrouded man. But her eye's were not closed as his were when one dreams, she was staring at the sky.

"Mama?" Annri whispered with no answer. Not knowing what else to do or where else to go he grabbed his mothers arm and placed it around himself. Curling into a tiny ball beside her not shedding one tear he silently swore to himself that he would survive somehow and find the man who killed his mother and took his baby sibling. The night air became so much colder than he or his mother was prepared for, there he began pulling on her skirt and petticoat trying to create a blanket to keep warm.

"Over here...I found one!" Someone shouted. Annri sat up though exhausted as his eye's began to focus the first thing he saw was a green uniform and a nametag that read Jones. More came to 'Jones' side as he scooped Annri up in his arms. "Leave her, she's dead. The boy needs medical attention." Everyone began to rustle around him, he lay back being moved from different arms till he finally lay in a covered truck staring at heavily armed men with what looked like Tin hats.

"Its gonna be ok son. You're gonna be just fine you hear me?" The man shouted again. Americans...He thought as he grabbed the mans hand and closed his eye's. Jones looked back down astonished by the silent boy and gave one last reassuring word. "You did good son...You did good."

The Plot Of Lilith ((Chapter 4))

Slowly she floated into the inner courtyard where the three within Selene swam within their own seperate thoughts. There Selene's body stood over the pond where Lilith saw her own reflection and thus reflected upon the past. Many moons ago when she refused Adam, many moons ago when she bore the children of the Devil, many moons ago when the warriors of God took them from her.

She could remember the emptiness she felt losing those she bore forth into God's newly created world and how her hate grew with each day that she was cursed for refusing to be subserviant to Adam...She was his equal as she saw it and now? Now she outlived them all, cursing the son's of Adam and the Daughters of Eve! Within the vast space within Selene's body Lilith takes notice of Cain and Judas.

"The Prophecy of Cain, the only credit that should be given to my former kindred is his brilliance in finding a loophole from our torcheress otherworld into this one. However lacking that of pure blood he is but a failure whose insatiable appetite along with Judas is the very reason we have the kind of Vampire's of the new century." She thought to herself. "Generations and generations of mixed even dilluted blood. So far have they fallen from the grace of which I began their very legacy! How they have all shamed the very name of our kind, for that they shall pay with their own lives..."

A woman enters the courtyard with a cart filled with food and yet the hunger that the Evil Trinity feel stirring within them is not for the morsel on the cart but for the fully dressed temptation standing before them.

"La Madame...vous avez invité le dîner pour être servi à sept heures." ((Madame...you requested dinner to be served at Seven o'clock.)) Lilith looks up at the young woman and realizes her life will be the opportunity needed to rid herself of her business partners. The girl begins to walk slowly back through the door whence she came.

"La fille, ne coulent pas juste encore. Venez plus étroitement et suppliez-nous à votre compagnie." ((Girl, do not run off just yet. Come closer and entreat us to your company)) Lilith began to feel the excitement, impatience and hunger rise with each word uttered within Cain and Judas. She knew that this will be her only chance to free herself of their burden though the poor girl must be sacrificed in the process, Lilith rationalizes that it is but the grace of God and laughs.

"La Madame, ce qui est drôle ?" ((Madame, what is funny?)) as the girl lowers herself to sit on a nearby stone bench. Selene moves ever so fluidly next to the young girl and smiles. She is all knowing of dark magic, manipulator of the human spirit and mind. She can feel the other two bubbling up for the anticipation of the feast that they haven't a clue nor have they noticed Lilith's whispers. An incantation of the darkest of magics...The young girl becomes entranced within Lilith's eye's as she sank her teeth into her victims neck. Refusing that this was to be her death the girl runs for the door, screaming and crying. In a panic and as blood pours down her neck she makes her way to the entrance door and into the woods.

"After her." Cain whispers to both Lilith and Judas. The hunt was on and within seconds the girl is stopped in her tracks as she faces death itself before her or so she thought.

"Ceci ne blessera pas un peu" ((this won't hurt a bit)) Selene's body pounces on top of the pour, frail girl like a panther atop its prey but instead of sinking her teeth into the girl again Lilith grabs the girls face and places her mouth atop the girls. A dark magic enshrouds them both as the girl begins to feel filled, her eye's roll back in her head as both Cain and Judas are ripped from Selene's body. The smell of blood floats on the winter wind, travelling for miles. They float for what seemed for so long within the tree tops, upon the completion of the transference Lilith then drops the girl to the forest floor and floats down to take delight in her work. The girl layed there almost lifeless and yet under her skin crawled the two serpents, Judas and Cain.

"Você betrayed nos!" ((you betrayed us)) shouted the deep and angry tone of Cain. "Você pensa verdadeiramente de que este nos parará da matança você e fazendo exame de o que é nosso?" ((do you think that this will stop us from killing you and taking what is ours?)) The girl whose eye's no longer her's begin to change, her stance is more predatary. Lilith begins to cackle as her plan is fully set in motion, Cain looks around and notices that the scent of blood in the air has brought others more hungry than himself.
"Parece que nós estamos uns sozinhos não mais longo. Saiba isto antes que você morra, mim são a única esperança para nosso tipo e sua morte ajudar-me-á em meu quest!" ((It seems we are no longer alone. Know this before you die, I am the only hope for our kind and your death will aid me in my quest!))

Sweat beading down his face Cain realizes the end is near as the werewolves close in on him and Lilith moves past them as if an unspoken pact was said between them. She smiles, delighted that her plan slowly is coming to fruition. You can hear the wolves snap and growl over the excitement. In the distance you can hear the screams and the sound of flesh being ripped apart.

She finally returns to her chambers with no one's thoughts but her own, peace at last the demoness finally rests. For this one night will be the only night she may have peace of mind and rest within the protective shell that which is Selene's body. Her mind wanders as she drifts off to sleep about the Spear of Destiny and the Destiny to be fulfilled...

Dream A Little Dream: The Prophecy Revealed ((Chapter 3))

There she sat like a sand stone in a japanese garden, quiet, calm but this was no Japanese Garden and Selene is anything but a sand stone. Her mind swimming through each text, picking up a book and throwing another one down. She was surrounded by hundreds if not thousands of books, frantically looking for some kind of answer, for a little piece of hope. Hours had past which soon turned from days to months and to no avail. Each page turned was another disappointment. She grew tired, weary from all the research Selene laid her head down for a moments rest, just a moments rest was all she needed to continue. As her eyelids became so heavy with sleep instantly her mind was elsewhere, in dream. There in her dreams she wandered through murky fog, following a voice that seemed to call out to her.

"Selene...this way." The voice said. There was a familiarity in that voice, as if she'd heard it before. Continued she did through many tiny foot paths, moving faster toward the voice.

"Who are you?!" Selene called out but no answer, only the same three words 'Selene this way' were uttered. Until there on four thrones she was faced with her past and the answer she was searching for back in the library. Selene could not believe her eye's, there sat her ancestors of long ago, the direct links to the very beginning that is her kind...The Vampire's!

Lord Cassieus who had reigned in Italy for many centuries till his untimely beheading in 1747. Faced with her father Selene was quite confused, unable to take in all that was set before her eye's.Next to her father sat a figure very prominant, he stood out from the others. Selene was drawn to him almost immediately, captivated by his essence, drowning in the pool in his eye's. His hand lowered delicately taking a very feminine hand in his, bringing it to his lips. Turning the hand over thus exposing the palm he tenderly kissed it with eye's still locked on Selene very intently. Vlad Tepes or better known as Dracul and the hand he was kissing belonged to known other than Sekhmet~The Eye of Ra. Her Reign somewhere between 1500-1069 BC almost wiped out the entire human race if it were not for Ra, the Sun God. Her name means Most Powerful and most powerful she is, her vengence never sporadic or misguided. Pharoahs in the land of Memphis and Thebe once called upon her to ride with them into battle, most notorious were her fire arrows which could be seen flying into battle before Pharoah. She was a mighty warrior, redeemer of the gods, Ra's most prized desert flower but here and now she sat equally beside Selene's father Cassieus, fearful yet beautiful Sekhmet and Vlad Tepes of Transylvania. Sekhmet rises and greets Selene with a warm embrace as Arabic dancers filled the throne room, the room lit up in a fury of gold and silver as bright as the sun itself!

"Selene, we knew you would come." Sekhmet said as tenderly as she called to her in the fog.
"You're the voice, the one in my dreams I hear everynight."

"Yes Selene, the time is almost at hand where you my child will fulfill a great legacy to which we've all left behind." Sekhmet wraps her arm around Selene, guiding her to sit at the feet of the four thrones. "With your birth and your mother's death began the wheel of your destiny Selene...You WILL fulfill The Prophecy of Cain." Selene pulls away from Sekhmet upset and afraid.

"You lie!" Selene blurted shocking the others who still sat on their thrones. Selene's father, Lord Cassieus glances at Sekhmet. Understanding the look Sekhmet regained her composure and stepped away from Selene, placing herself back at Vlad's side.

"Daughter," Cassieus said as he rose from his throne and glided toward her side. He neared her left ear, whispering. "As unfortunate as this is she speaks the truth and daughter...truly I fear for your very soul. Nothing I may say will prepare you for what you already know and what you are about to hear but if there is one last act I could do as your father it is to protect you as best I can. I'm long gone Selene, only a ghost in your memory but heed my warning daughter of the light...You will see dark, dark days. You will lay hopeless in the pit of despair, tormented and tortured. The only key to your salvation is The Spear Of Destiny!" Sekhmet rises to her feet, eye's wide with anger.

"SILENCE OLD FOOL!!!! Enough of this prattle!" She points at Selene. "Whether you accept your destiny now or later will not affect what will happen regardless. You will fufill the prophecy we are only messengers for them but you will be the doorway that free's The Evil Trinity!"

Selene's eye's glaze with anger, focusing intently on the throned messengers. "I will not be a vessel used for darkness!" She shouts this line over and over till she awakes from her nightmare. Her brow covered in sweat she sits up and looks at her surroundings, noticing the heavy fog rolling in around her. Selene stands up and notices the distant moon, she is in Dark Astoria but how did she get here? Her chest throbbing with pain she clutches at it and begins to breath heavily. Dropping down to her knee's she whispers to herself "I will not...be...their vessel!"

The Unbirth, The Beginning ((Chapter 2))

I call it the unbirth because I wasn't born into this life, this world as any normal infant. No, my beginning is forever continual, never ending and it all began with my Mother. That is where this story starts. To understand how I, Selene Draco have fallen so far from grace you must first know how I came to be.

LeNoire Francoeur-Dumont (Born 1860-Died 1915) a loving wife whose love for God cast down what seemed the devil himself before her path, my father Lord Cassieus Draco whose inability to seduce this lamb of God into straying took what it was he wanted from her. A Prophecy was thus fulfilled in that forbidden conception between God's pure vessel of earth and one of the dark children of the fallen one, Cain. This was anything but an immaculate conception and LeNoire knew this, in her heart she knew within her womb grew the inevitable doom of mankind. The strength of a Mother is unwavering, immeasurable by any means. It was this exact strength that gave LeNoire the opportunity to flee with her two children. Yes, there were two! Annri Dumont, my human half brother. It was Annri's father whom my Mother was solely devoted to until the night my dark father unable to succumb to the thought of failure, took what he desired of her. Annri's father Guerette-Dumont, never knew of the incident nor did he ever return home from the war. Giving his life to the war effort he and 59,000 others were killed on the first day of The Somme Campaign July 1916 leaving Annri a year later orphaned.

It was the year 1913, Guerette was already in training with the French and Austrailian Army. LeNoire and Annri made their journey from France to England, rumors had it that the German Nazi's were taking their campaign towards France. It was the evening of 21 May 1915 that I would finally come into the world and experience the first moment of tragedy of my lifetime. German Zepplin's began their bombing campaign on London and we were caught in the middle. Buildings began to explode, my father would explain to me later on as I grew older. Glass shattering at high pitches making you want to rip your ears right off your head. It was time and my mother knew it...I was to be unborn!

"LeNoire, Please let me take you away from here." Cassieus pleaded. His eye's seemed sincere but LeNoire remembered how his eye's tricked her once before and the outcome was the unholy seed that was soon to rip through into this world.

"No Cassieus," She attempted to catch her breath though the contractions were right on top of one another. "You've done quite enough don't you think?!"

"Do you not see that I adore you?! I have the power to take away your pain, the suffering, the fear that each day, each moment brings you. What has your God offered you better than what I can offer you?!" He held his hand out almost certain his offer would entice her to do as he asked.

"He's given me a choice Cassieus. Between living eternally in hell, in limbo with you or in his kingdom. I choose his kingdom!" Exhausted and overridden with pain LeNoire leaned against a building that was almost in rubbles. Sliding down with one hand griping her belly and the other grasping Annri's hand, she pushed back her tears. She had to be strong, for the baby, for Annri. Cassieus turns to Annri, his eye's never changing sing an unspoken song to the young lad. Annri's eye lid's begin to get heavy, he blinks several times until he falls asleep. Bombs continue to fall around them, explosions and the scattered showers of rubble cover the streets. Hundreds of thousands of civilians run screaming, you can hear the cries of children echo.

"My love?!" LeNoire took shrapnel from one of the explosions to the back and already began losing alot of blood. For the first time in Cassieus's existance he saw blood and did not thirst. "Let me help you!" He pleaded again.

"God has meant for us to die Cassieus...The abomination that grows within me isn't meant to fulfill its bargain with your devil."

And with her last effort of strength LeNoire lifted a piece of glass to stab her belly but Cassieus being what he is placed his hand there as an obstacle. Piercing his hand he slowly pulled the glass out, once his eye's fixed themselves back upon LeNoire she had already bled to death. Time was ticking if Cassieus was to save his only child and like a beast he ripped into her belly and pulled forth a lifeless heir. He took his wounded hand which was slowly beginning to heal and place it into the infants mouth.

Suddenly there is movement, coughing and then a cry. Craddled in my father's arms I took in the new world I had just awaken to, the night held so much wonder and beauty. I knew nothing of the world, the meaning of red or thirst however I would learn all these and more.

Cassieus left LeNoire's mangled corpse along with my half brother Annri who lay unconcious beside her. For many years I thought he died saving me along with my mother, For many years I trusted all my father had taught me, all his stories to be the exact truth...I was wrong. Annri was alive, my mother had wanted me dead and he was the only one who could give me the answers to this supposed Prophecy of Cain that I was destined to fulfill.
